In the world of the game, battles are the primary stage where your hero confronts a variety of adversaries encountered along their journey.
So, how does a battle unfold? You'll begin by comparing your hero's statistics with those of the enemy. You can use your skills, attack items, or consumables if needed, and even request reinforcement from other players. Once your strategy is set, simply click the attack button, and the outcome of the encounter will be displayed in your battle log. Battles are a test of strategy and endurance, and you'll need to engage in tactical combat until either your hero or their opponent meets their demise.
Enemies
Throughout the game, enemies in battles can appear randomly based on the biome level. Additionally, they can emerge following certain choices made during quests, where you might encounter various monsters.
These enemies, just like your hero, possess their own unique set of statistics. It's essential to compare their stats with your hero's before engaging in battle to assess your chances of emerging victorious. Enemies can be of different levels, each indicated by a distinct frame color:
- Normal: No frame.
- Unique: White frame.
- Boss: Red frame.
Also, enemies can be of different races, which icon you can see next to each enemy name:
- Human
- Undead
- Demon
- Beast
All races have different strengths and vulnerabilities, but you will have to find out for yourself which ones exactly.
Prepare for epic battles and make strategic choices to ensure your hero's success.
Items Usage in Fight
During a battle, you have the option to utilize your equipment, which includes one Attack item and three skills. However, keep in mind that each of these equipment options requires a certain amount of mana for every round, so it's essential to use them judiciously to manage your resources effectively.
In addition to your equipment, you can also employ consumable items in battle. Each battle allows the use of one consumable per effect. The effects provided by these consumables last until the conclusion of the battle. To make the most of these consumables, it's a good practice to check your hero's stats before entering the adventure. By using consumables before you begin, you ensure the ability to employ them again if needed later in the adventure.
Reinforcement in Fight
If you find yourself in a battle where your stats might not be sufficient to defeat the enemy, you have the option to request reinforcement at any time during the battle. When you request assistance, a randomly assigned hero will come to your aid. This assisting hero will remain with you until the adventure is completed and will provide a valuable 20% boost to your stats. This support significantly increases your chances of success in the adventure and enhances the potential rewards. Keep in mind that your helper may be entitled to a portion of the rewards if you successfully complete the adventure. So, requesting reinforcement can be a strategic move when facing formidable foes.
Battle Actions
During battle, both your hero and the enemy have the potential to inflict various effects that reduce each other's HP. These effects include:
- Physical Damage: This is the typical damage that directly affects your HP.
- Fire Damage, Burn: Inflicting fire damage causes your opponent to lose half of their defense, making them more vulnerable to attacks.
- Cold Damage, Freeze: Cold damage leads to a 50% reduction in your opponent's melee damage, making their attacks less effective.
- Lightning Damage, Confuse: Lightning damage induces a 50% reduction in your opponent's attack rating, diminishing their accuracy and combat effectiveness.
- Chaos: The chaos effect delivers significant damage to the opponent. However, there is a 5% chance that this effect may backfire on the owner, resulting in a 50% reduction in their own HP.
- Poison: Poison inflicts a damage-over-time effect on the opponent, causing them to lose 10% of their current life points over time.
- Retaliate: A percentage of the damage dealt to your hero is reflected back to the opponent, dealing damage to them as well.
- Stun: The stun effect causes your opponent to skip their turn, rendering them temporarily incapacitated.
- Curse: The curse effect results in a 50% reduction in your opponent's elemental resistances, making them more susceptible to elemental damage.
- Miss: In some cases, fighters can miss their attacks, resulting in no damage dealt.
These various effects add depth and strategy to the battles, allowing you to choose the most effective tactics based on your opponent's vulnerabilities and your hero's strengths.
Battle outcomes
At the conclusion of a battle, the outcomes can vary based on your performance:
- Victory: Your hero emerges victorious when your opponent's HP reaches zero. This achievement allows your hero to progress to the next chamber within the adventure, pursuing further challenges and rewards.
- Loss: If your hero's HP reaches zero during a battle but you have one or more life chances remaining, your hero won't die but will exit the adventure with only 1 HP. Unfortunately, this outcome means that you will forfeit any potential rewards that could have been obtained by successfully completing the adventure.
- Death: In the unfortunate event that your hero's HP reaches zero, and they have no remaining life chances, it results in permanent death. A hero who perishes under these circumstances loses not only the potential rewards but also all of their equipment. Once a hero has died, they cannot be revived, and their loss is irreversible. Hero's NFT will be burned.
These outcomes directly impact the fate of your hero in the game, and strategic decisions and skillful play are essential to maximize the rewards and progression within the adventure.
